Udvartana

Udvartana

Udvartana is a uniques therapy done by medicated coarse powders. In udvartana coarse powders are rubbed on the whole body in different patterns, after mixing with oils in smaller quantities or without any lubrication. This is done to slough off dead skin cells and helps in reducing subcutaneous fat. This helps in opening the srotas (channels or vessels) blocked by kapha, kleda, medas and such. Udwartana brings about vilayana or liquefying of dosha/ medas (fat) which coats the srotas or the channels.

The therapy lasts for about 45-60 minutes, followed by swedana (medicated steam bath).

Udvartana is very effective in reducing cellulite and fat accumulation. Overweight people can get benefits from this technique to control their body weight.

Therefore, we recommend it for those who wants to lose weight or having problems of Kapha origin.
